Our Story

K&J Painting LLC was formed in 2012 by Kristie and Jay Trapp when the owners of Ruffalo Painting decided to retire after many successful years in the painting business.


Jay who was one of Ruffalo paintings key employees at the time, saw this as a onetime opportunity to fulfill Kristie's lifelong dream to own her own business. Together with Kristie's 15+ years of business and marketing experience and Jay's 25 years in the painting business, they seized upon this incredible opportunity to hire exceptional and talented employees from Ruffalo Painting to invest in and create  a top notch family owned painting company. Today this dream lives on and is better than ever!


We are a family owned Union paint contractor that prides itself on quality workmanship.

Our Team

Kristie Trapp, President/Owner


 Kristie is the principal owner of K&J Painting, LLC and has an extensive background in business and marketing. Kristie is responsible for the day to day administration of the business.

Jay Trapp, PM/Estimator


Jay has 25+ years experience in the painting industry. 

Ed Young, Webmaster


Ed has 35 years experience in Information Technology and loves to create meaningful assistance to business and customers utilizing an appropriate level of technology.
